The tradition of The La Plata Blue Knights (LPBK) continues this season as we begin our fundraising campaign for the 2023 season.  LPBK is a nonprofit, community-based ALL-VOLUNTEER youth sports organization providing organized football and cheerleading programs for children ranging in ages of 5 to 14. Our volunteer coaches are experienced and trained to promote a positive atmosphere to ensure responsibility, honesty and good sportsmanship.

Started in the early 1980’s by a local Charles County family seeking a quality youth sports program, LPBK is proud to have second generation of families play and cheer for us.  Our award-winning program has grown over the years we work to improve the safety and quality experience for our LPBK families.
 
While registration costs cover the operations of the program, they cannot sustain our organization. Our expenses maintaining our exceptional cheerleading and tackle football program are considerable. Additional funds are needed to maintain and improve our equipment and facilities. Cheerleader and football player safety is extremely important. Donations are used to continue to update our equipment, which in turn keeps all of our participants safe. 

We also use donations for our hardship program that helps cover registration costs for families who are in need. 

Donations keep registration fees low. Due to your outstanding past support, we have not had to raise registration fees in the past three years. Keeping registration fees low ensures we continue to make our program available to everyone in our community. 

Lastly, donations help us pay for competitions, coach background checks, league fees, lights, The Blue Knight Scholarship Award, insurance, raffle prizes, etc.    

Our request is a simple one. The Board of Directors has each made their contribution and now we ask each LPBK family to make a minimum investment of just $15. These donations will be reserved for these specific needs and the LaPlata Blue Knights thanks you in advance for your support!
