YOUTH SPORTS ORGANIZATION. FOOTBALL and CHEERLEADING
WE WILL NOT HAVE UNIFORM TURN-INS AT THE BANQUET. All uniforms must be turned in before December 10!!! - Each coach is responsible for correctly reporting the condition of equipment. Please note any piece that is damaged, or in need of repair. Following the distribution forms issued with the equipment at the beginning of the season, parents will be charged for missing or damaged equipment according to the chart as listed below.
Football Coaches and Team Managers
Each coach is responsible for the following:
- Begin to coordinate and gather your player’s equipment NOW!
- Print your roster and check-off each player’s name as they return their equipment.
- You must inspect ALL equipment and ensure that each piece issued (see list below) is returned in excellent condition and is clean and dry.
(Note to Parents and Coaches: last year, much of the football equipment was turned in dirty, muddy and wet. All summer long the mildew and bacteria continued to grow – you can’t image the smell once we opened the storage unit! Several brave board members attempted to disinfect and scrub the equipment with bleach and tons of elbow grease. Unfortunately, we were forced to replace most of the football pads and other equipment which cost the league thousands of dollars! With the treat of staff infections, and high replacement costs, proper care, cleaning and storage is a must! We appreciate your help with this necessary task).
- Each Coach will be assigned a time and date to meet with Greg Ward, the new equipment manager at the La Plata storage unit. Greg and his support staff will inspect the equipment and double check the rosters and items. The coaches will then help stack their equipment it in the unit. Greg's email address is grewar@comcast.net
