LPBK CUSTOM ENGRAVED BRICKS:

If you have ordered LPBK Bricks… don’t worry we haven’t forgotten you or your dedications!

All of the bricks that you, me and many, many other people purchased have been ordered, and are on-hold at the manufacturer.

Our first goal was to actually build and open the new concession stand. As no money was provided by the county or board of education we took on the challenge of raising the money to accomplish this huge undertaking. Your volunteer board worked for two years to solicit and obtain over $80,000 in donated materials and labor. We continued to work all the way through the entire off-season and actually finished the building the night before our first home game!

The season began and we continued to finish the construction in between home games. Our plans were to take delivery of the bricks during the season, however due to the weight of the bricks pads and transportation/delivery -- we must install the bricks the day the are delivered. (We had some theft of blocks, wood and other materials during the construction, so we want to be sure no one steals or damages these expensive bricks before we get them installed!!)

We had a our talented brick layer parent who graciously offered to install the bricks, however his schedule became overwhelming during the fall and was unable to help us. If you know a brick layer who could help us and volunteer his or her time and expertise, please have them contact me directly!

We’ll as you know, it’s winter now and it’s rather cold, therefore, we can’t install the bricks until it gets warmer… so we will schedule delivery and installation in the Spring.

All families who have donated will be invited to a special ceremony once complete and installed.

I understand that some people may be impatient with the progress, but please remember all of these wonderful things are being accomplished in our ALL VOLUNTEER organization, and the actual construction of the building was our first goal. We are parents who work "real" jobs, with real families and real time constraints. I can guarantee you that all bricks will be installed.
